Child Education
By assisting with education costs and creating a more stable environment for children, we are creating a better start for the next generation.
Care
Many of those we care for have no family, no income and no means of supporing themselves. If we don't care, who will?
Clothing
Through a generous and caring community of donors, Dorcus House is able to provide occassional clothing and personal items.
Shelter
Because our ladies live in makeshift homes on government land, there are times when their houses collapse due to wet season storms. We assist with the costs of repairs from time to time to ensure their shelter from the weather.
Food Parcels
Every month Dorcus House provides around 80 widows living in the slums of Kolkata with a food parcel to suppliment their diet. Without it, both them and their children would go hungry.
Health Care
The cost of medical care can be a barrier to health and quality of life. We help provide hope and assist where we can to provide basic health care in times of desperate need.
